Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot vs. The Mutant Mosquitos From Mercury by Dav Pilkey

It's about a tiny mouse and his big robot. They live in a place called Squeakyville. And they're fighting the mutant mosquitos from Mercury. Let me warn you, it's a very exciting book. It's so exciting because of the big battle. It's also got Flip-O-Rama in it. You might not know what that Flip-O-Rama is yet. Flip-O-Rama is when you hold one of the pages and grasp the first page and flip it really fast so it looks like it's in action.

I loved this book. And I loved it because of all the stuff in it that's just so-oh-oh exciting. And there are so many exciting things in it that I can't even name one.

This book is for six year olds to ten year olds, I'd say. There's too much violence for under, and the reading might be a bit hard to read if you're three, especially if you're two. And it's too easy for people who are 28.

The Silver Donkey by Sonya Hartnett

The Silver Donkey is about a soldier who is British. And, of course, there is a silver donkey also involved with him. It's not a real donkey. It's just a little silver one. Two girls find the soldier out in the woods, and the younger one named Coco basically fell in love with the donkey when the soldier showed it to her. The soldier is trying to get back home to his sick brother John who calls out for him at night. He's having trouble getting there because he's blind, and he needs to cross the Channel which is 35 miles to get across. He couldn't swim even if he wasn't blind. And he doesn't have a boat.

The older sister you haven't met her yet, her name is Marcelle. The two girls tell their brother Pascal, and he tells his grown up friend Fabrice. He asks the soldier first because most people wouldn't understand and would tell him to join the army again. So then Pascal tells Fabrice about the soldier's problem with getting across the Channel. He tells Fabrice about a secret plan that he has, and they put it into action. You'll have to read the book to get the rest.

Since you might want to know what I think of this book, I like it, but I don't love it. What I don't like about it is that...the thing that I don't like about it is that he doesn't stay with them, the soldier, I mean, when everything's ready. You probably didn't know about this because I didn't tell you about the rest of that.

I would recommend this book for age group 6 to 50. I think it's goods for girls and boys alike.
